Hajjar to appear in new series

Iranian actress Mitra Hajjar, is slated to appear in a Nowruz series.

Directed by Behrang Tofighi, the series is to enjoy Hajjar before the camera.

‘At the Crossroads’ is slated to be prepared for the Persian New Year holidays.

Hamid Goudarzi and Afsaneh Chehreh-Azad are among other names to appear in the series.

Born in 1978, Mitra Hajjar took directing classes with Bozorgmehr Rafia. She made her acting debut in Ahmad Amini’s ‘Abandonment’ in 1997.

In 2005, she left Iran for France and later went to the US to study directing before returning to Iran three years later.

Hajjar has tried her hand at music, directing, photography and painting.

She has appeared in many movies, including ‘Shout’ (1999), ‘Tehran Nights’ (2000), ‘Crank Call’ (2001), ‘Poisonous Mushroom’ (2001), ‘Rokhsareh’ (2001), ‘Anahita’ (2008), ‘Earth and Fire’ (2010), ‘I'm Her Spouse’ (2011), ‘The Exclusive Line’ (2013), ‘Confessions of My Dangerous Mind’ (2014), ‘Ceasefire 2’ (2014), and ‘360 Degree’ (2014).

Some of her series include ‘The Young Officer’ (2001) and ‘Lost’ (2010).

She received a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Leading Role for ‘Born in the Month of Mehr’ (1999) and was nominated for Crystal Simorghs for Best Actress for the films ‘Dog Killing’ (2000) and ‘Pink’ (2002).
